Mission of Merit is based on the true story of Mary Sibley born in China to missionaries. Concerned for the health and safety of their children, overseas missionaries often left them behind with relatives or boarding school in their home country. At fourteen years of age, Mary was sent to Canada and separated from her parents halfway around the world for six years until the next sabbatical.
China was all new to her Canadian born parents, but to Mary, Canada was the strange country.
How did Mary cope in an unfamiliar country without her parents?
Was it worth all the sacrifices made to establish the Christian church in China?
